Project Overview

EasySchool is an all-in-one school management and ERP software. Most school software handles various tasks, which leaves schools juggling different tools. Easy School runs school operations across every department in one connected platform, with dedicated portals for administrators, teachers, students, and parents. It also covers online learning, a payment system, boarding, and more. I owned product strategy and project management from discovery through launch.

Challenge

Schools relied on paperwork and disconnected tools, which meant heavy admin workload, delayed communication between departments, and little real-time visibility. Many existing platforms digitize records but don’t give students, teachers, and parents a system they trust and use daily.

Approach

I managed Easy School using an agile approach, with iterative delivery.

  1. Discovery and initiation: Aligned with the founder on business needs, the problem to solve, market fit, and what success looks like.

  2. Definition: Turned market and user findings into user stories tied to both user and business needs, and documented them in a PRD.

  3. Planning: Built the full product backlog and broke features down with the development lead, factoring in team capacity.

  4. Prioritization: Ranked work against stakeholder-defined success criteria.

  5. Agile delivery: Ran development in sprints, with each iteration delivering working, incremental releases. Sprint reviews with the founder and team kept progress visible, let us adjust priorities as we learned, and kept delivery on track against milestones.

  6. Validation and launch: Coordinated user acceptance testing so schools could start using a reliable product, then launched and kept improving it.

Outcome / Impact

EasySchool is onboarding schools smoothly. Users describe the product as bringing clarity and organization, and school leaders value seeing their school's status at a glance. Early indications point to faster information flow between departments, and I’m tracking measurable impact as schools complete their first term

Key Takeaway

  • Grounding every decision in user and business needs kept the scope focused.

  • Close founder involvement shortened feedback loops and reduced rework.

  • User acceptance testing before launch built confidence and made onboarding smoother.

  • In a crowded market, trust and usability for every user mattered more than feature count.
